Novocure launches Optune, the first portable medical device to generate electric fields that disrupt the division of cancer cells in glioblastoma (brain cancer). On this occasion, we launched the “first national gbm academy day” to demonstrate the interest of these electric fields to a varied, expert and demanding target. Fascinating plenaries led by, among others, a neurosurgeon (Prof. Philippe Menei), a philosopher (Raphaël Enthoven), a synergologist (Stephen Bunard) with the participation of numerous experts in the field. A day organized at the Maison de la Radio, referring to the radio waves: “Positive waves around glioblastoma”.
